The open concept in our daycare center

We work according to the "open concept". The children are free to choose their play partners, place and duration of play and spend time in the various functional rooms throughout the kindergarten. In the open kindergarten, children are given choices and decision-making spaces to develop their own strengths and make their own decisions. In this way, they express self-efficacy, self-determination and responsibility, and can advance their own growth.

The open kindergarten is a living space in which the children can be

    • can be who they are, and do what they want to do
    • learn to test themselves in freedom
    • do everything a child does that has a purpose, even if this is not always recognizable from the outside
    • perceive play as a purpose-free expression of life and therefore experience priorities.
